How to Order Blank Samples in 4 Steps
When youโre designing something special, the details matter. At LCI Paper, we offer samples so you can see and feel the quality of our papers before placing a full order.
Sampling lets you compare colors, evaluate textures, and test your design in real life. Theyโre also perfect for running print tests on your home printer, checking ink coverage on a digital press, experimenting on your letterpress, or making sure your cutter settings are just right.
As a result, you can move forward with confidence knowing your final pieces will look exactly the way you expect.
To make the process simple, follow the step-by-step instructions below to add samples to your cart.

- Find Your Item – First, visit the product page for the paper, cardstock, or envelopes you want to test.
- Click โOrder A Sampleโ – Next, select the Order A Sample button located near the View Price option.**
- Add to Cart – Then, a green confirmation pop-up will appear, letting you know the sample has been added successfully.
- Use Code SAMPLES – Finally, enter code SAMPLES at checkout to receive free shipping on your sample order (U.S. shipping only)*

Add Sample Printing in Just One Click
Want to see how your actual design will look on different papers? You can easily upgrade your sample order by adding our Print Proof Service to your cart.
Follow these steps to add printing to your sample order:

- Add your desired sample(s) to your cart – Add up to (3) samples to your cart per print proof charge/design.
- Then, add one Print Proof Service for each design you want printed.*
- Enter code SAMPLES at checkout for free shipping on samples.
- After checkout, email your print-ready files and order info to [email protected], referencing your order number.
Please note that one Print Proof Service fee covers the printing of one design (no variable data) in the same ink color on up to 3 samples of the same size, shape, and style* (ie. An A7 Wedding White card, an A7 Timberwolf card & an A7 Light Moss card).
This option allows you to compare how your artwork appears across different paper colors, finishes or weights without committing to a full production order.
Important: Samples are not included with the Print Proof Service. Please be sure to add the appropriate sample items to your cart otherwise, we have no way of knowing what you want your sample(s) printed on.

Sample Ordering Frequently Asked Questions
What if I donโt see an โOrder A Sampleโ button?
Not every product offers samples. Some items ship from partner warehouses across the United States, while others may be unavailable due to inventory limits, shipping restrictions, or eligibility requirements for free sample shipping. In addition, certain specialty products, such as some laser-cut items and gatefold styles, are not currently offered as samples. If you need help or want to check availability, please contact our team and weโll be happy to assist.
How much do samples cost?
Each sample has a small fee. However, all sample orders ship free within the United States when you use code SAMPLES. All other locations will be charged shipping.
How long will it take to receive my samples?
We ship from our facility in Hudson, Massachusetts. Most U.S. blank sample orders ship within 2 business days and arrive in 4โ7 business days after shipment.
Please note that LCI Paper is not responsible for delays caused by carrier conditions, weather, or other factors outside our control once your package leaves our facility. If a delay occurs after shipment, contact your shipping carrier directly for updates.
I received a tracking number, but I donโt see any updates. Why?
Free sample orders ship via United States Postal Service. While USPS provides a tracking number when your package leaves our facility, these shipments travel through standard mail service. As a result, tracking updates may be limited or may not appear until the package reaches your local post office or is delivered.
If several business days have passed since the expected date without delivery, we recommend checking with your local post office for additional assistance then contacting us directly.
Do I need multiple Print Proof Services for multiple designs?
Yes, each Print Proof Service covers the setup and printing for one design. If you have more than one design, please add one service for each file.
Where do I send my print files?
After checkout, email your print-ready files and order details to [email protected]. Be sure to include your order number for reference.
Will I receive a proof before printing?
Yes! Once we receive your files and order information, we will send a digital proof within 2โ3 business days. After you approve the proof, we will print and ship your samples within 3โ5 business days.
