About Gmund Transparent Cardstock Paper

From the village of Gmund in the Bavarian Alps comes this extraordinary, vibrant selection of colored vellum papers. 7 harmonious translucent colors, branded by Gmund as Colors Transparent is an extension of the complete Colors line stocked at LCI Paper. The vellum colors are acid free, pH neutral and the perfect match to their Matte counterparts.

Printing on Vellum

The 30lb / 100GSM paper is considered laser & inkjet compatible, suitable for desktop applications. Colored Vellum is an exceptionally hard sheet therefore testing is recommended. LCI Paper will not be responsible for printability. 

Special Considerations with Vellum

Colors Transparent is a hard, dense sheet sensitive to climatic conditions. It's best to store this paper in a humidity controlled environment. If cutting, do so in small stacks no higher than 5cm. Professional cutting is recommended, using a hard alloy blunted blade. To avoid cracking it's best to professionally score the paper before folding.

Can Vellum be folded?
Yes, Gmund Transparent paper can be folded. For best results we recommend using a clean edge for guidance and a bone folder.

Do you have other colors?
Unfortunately at this time we are only able to offer limited quantities of colored vellum due to manufacturer discontinuing of product. Yellow and Green transparent paper is available while supplies last.

Can you cut Vellum?
Yes, you can certainly cut your vellum at home. For the best results we recommend using a sharp blade of your choice. LCI Paper also offers custom cutting should you like us to cut if for you!

Do you offer custom scoring on Vellum?
Due to the light weight of this paper, we are unable to offer custom scoring on Vellum papers.

Do you offer custom laser cutting on Vellum?
Due to the light weight of this paper, we are unable to offer custom laser cutting on vellum papers.
