Cream vs. Ivory vs. Off-White Paper Colors - What's the Difference?

Definitions may vary, but at LCI Paper, we mean the following when we reference ivory, cream, and off (or soft) white paper colors:

 
  • Ivory: Traditional creamy paper with a prominent yellow undertone
  • Cream: Warm, slightly tinted cream-colored paper - not quite white, not quite ivory
  • Off-White/Soft-White: Paper that is not bright white, but not cream (a milky white)
 

How shiny are your metallic ivory envelopes?

Our metallic paper isn't shiny and super reflective like a foil, but instead more of a pearlescent, slightly iridescent, subtly sparkling paper.

We offer shimmery ivory metallic envelopes in two brands: Stardream which is a smooth double-sided metallic and Moonlight Glance which is a single-sided felt texture metallic (the inside of the envelopes is matte felt).

 

Is Ivory Parchment See-Through?

We offer multiple kinds of ivory parchment paper, one of which is slightly translucent, the other of which is not.

 
  • Pergamenata Ivory Parchment Vellum: Thin, lightweight parchment with a cloudy translucency. This ivory parchment is often used as invitation overlays, packaging inserts, and book inserts.
  • Astroparche: (Aged Ivory & Natural) Matte paper with a parchment-like finish, made to look antiquated but behave like modern printer paper.
