When Should I Order My Wedding Stationery?

The timeline for ordering wedding stationery depends on your needs, but starting early is always a good idea. Begin by planning your stationery suite at least 6 months before your wedding to allow for design revisions, proofs, and production time. If you’re planning a destination wedding or hosting during a holiday season, consider starting even earlier to accommodate busy schedules and potential shipping delays.

Is There a Minimum I Have to Order?

Yes, we sell most items in packs of 25. This means if you need 90 invitations or envelopes, you’ll need to order 4 packs (100 total). These spares come in handy for addressing errors, last-minute additions to your guest list, or keeping a few pristine pieces for your scrapbook or photography.

How Many Wedding Invitations Should I Order?

As a rule of thumb, you’ll want to order enough invitations for each household, plus a couple of extras. When determining your quantity you will want to consider these scenarios:

      • You may need replacements for addressing errors or lost mail.
      • You may also want keepsakes for your scrapbook or shadow box.
      • You will want extras for stunning flat-lay photos with your photographer.

We typically suggest ordering at least 5–10 additional invitations and envelopes.

Pro tip: Add an extra guest address entry to your addressing spreadsheet with fake names and addresses for your wedding stationery suite photos!
